FAQ for Excel issues in Mekko Graphics 4
Every time I copy a range from Excel, I am unable to paste the data in the Mekko Graphics Data View (spreadsheet).
The action of launching Mekko Graphics erases the clipboard. In order to copy a range from Excel into the Mekko Graphics Data View, open Mekko Graphics first, then copy the range from Excel, and paste into Mekko Graphics.
Why is the UNDO button not working for Data View functions in Mekko Graphics?
There are two different UNDO functions in Mekko Graphics: one for Mekko functions and one for Excel (spreadsheet) functions. The UNDO menu item in Format View does not undo the last Excel operation. You must use the UNDO function in the Data View. Using the Ctrl+Z key combination will initiate the Excel UNDO but not the UNDO in Format View.
The best way to avoid any issues with UNDO is to use the menu item for the Mekko UNDO and Ctrl+Z when trying to use Mekko spreadsheet (Excel Data View) UNDO.
I am having issues opening Mekko Graphics when Excel is open. I am also having issues performing Mekko Graphics functions (e.g. converting chart type or adding an other series) when Excel is open.
Having the first instance of Excel opened in editing state prevents opening Mekko Graphics. Make sure that you are not in editing mode in Excel while trying to open or use Mekko Graphics. This includes ensuring that you do not have any open dialogs in Excel and then you are not in cell-edit mode when opening or using Mekko Graphics. Also, avoid switching to other applications while Mekko Graphics is launching.
I am having issues getting Link to Excel to recognize my defined Excel range or selection.
Due to some Excel limitations, there are some issues with Link to Excel when the file you are trying to link to is the only open instance of Excel. To avoid these issues, the best thing to do is to first open an instance of Excel, and then open the Excel document which contains the data to which you want to link.

Does Link to Excel work when my linked Excel file contains formulas?
YES. However, if a linked Excel file has formulas in it, you have the Excel file open for Mekko Graphics to recognize the formulas. Mekko Graphics always takes the values from linked excel files not the formulas themselves.
Refresh all Excel links does not update all the slides.
When you press the Refresh all Excel links button in PowerPoint®, all slides correctly update with new Excel information, except for the slide that you are currently on. There is currently no workaround for this issue.
