International airline arrivals fell 56% worldwide from Jan-May 2020, as shown in this bar-mekko chart. Covid-19 tourism faced the largest decline in Asia-Pacific and Europe, where international arrivals fell 60% and 58% respectively. These were also the regions with the most international arrivals in 2019. There were 361 million in Asia-Pacific and 746 million in Europe and 354 million in Middle East, Americas and Africa. Data are from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

create a bar-mekko chart in PowerPoint
enter Covid-19 tourism data as above in the Mekko Graphics Data Editor from the UNWTO document
select Switch Bars and Series from ribbon to treat rows as bars and columns as series
set Arrivals in 2019 column to data row and to bar width
add calculated bar total to data row
format the bar totals as a percentage and the data rows with MM as units
add the average line and the label World to it
add the axis break
remove the y axis labels, line and tick marks and the x axis line
add the y axis title
adjust internal chart margins and remove auto-wrap from data row label
