Mekko Graphics 8.1.0.2508 Release Notes

Overview – This is a major release that introduces several new features.

New Capabilities:

  1. Gantt chart revision: replaced Gantt chart user interface. New Gantt UI allows for direct entry of tasks into the chart: timeline elements including processes, bars, lines, brackets and milestones; drag and drop insertion and movement of timeline elements and shading; updated calendar control for date selection; task hierarchy that can be displayed as list or boxes. Gantt charts created in older versions of Mekko Graphics cannot be opened with this version.
  2. New coloring options: color after sort, by segment, by bar, color by group for bubble charts
  3. Improved data sheet with more Excel-like features including drag and drop of cell ranges
  4. Cascade chart enhancement allowing choice of previous bar for each bar
  5. Formatting Enhancements:
    • Introduced many new options for chart formatting in Preference Manager
    • Introduced ability to change font for each series
    • Introduced format segment task pane
    • Introduced narrow margins
    • Introduced layering options in bubble chart (send to back)
    • Introduced grouping for bubble charts with ability to change style and font by group
    • Introduced number format for label group on right-click
    • Introduced an option for transparent chart in Excel

Major corrected issues:

  1. Fixed an issue with size of the chart image saved on Windows computers with hi-resolution monitors and font scale > 100%;
  2. Improved performance of add-in in Excel, including resolution of some conflicts with other add-ins
  3. Fixed several issues in charts created in Excel, including inability to open charts and Undo issues;
  4. Fixed issue with license renewal process on German machines
  5. Fixed several issues with label placement in bubble charts

Note: This release is free to Mekko Graphics customers with active annual subscriptions. There is no free upgrade for perpetual license customers (e.g., customers who purchased on or before February 1, 2012). Click here for more information
