Over 1 trillion songs were streamed in the US in 2019. Overall music streaming grew 47% per year from 2014-19, as shown in this stacked bar chart. Audio streaming grew faster than video streaming and now accounts for 65% of all songs streamed, up from 48% in 2014.

Sales of digital and physical albums fell 13% and 18% respectively over the same time period. Digital tracks sales fell 23% from 2014-19. The data were compiled by Nielsen Music.

create a stacked bar chart in PowerPoint
type music streaming data from Nielsen Music Report pdfs from 2019, 2017 and 2015 into the Mekko Graphics Data Editor in the format as above
use right-click in Mekko Graphics Data Editor to show data rows and CAGR column
add CAGR values to data rows using 'Total Label" in Bars and Series dialog, Series Visibility tab
show legend and align with CAGR column
show values and calculated percentages in all segment labels
add segment links
add y axis title and hide y axis line, tick marks and labels
click on x axis between bars to reduce bar gaps, making bars wider and closer together
hide x axis line
adjust internal margins to have chart fill area
right click data row labels and uncheck autowrap to show these labels on one line
align data row CAGRs with CAGR column
