In 2019, Black Monday accounted for $9.4B of the $28.4B total weekend sales. How I Made this Stacked Bar Chart with CAGR Column and Growth Line

Here is the Thanksgiving weekend e-commerce data I used to create the stacked bar chart:

Here's how I made the stacked bar chart:

  • make a copy of the wearables market trend chart from previous Chart of the Week post
  • update data and CAGR formula used in CAGR column
  • change Y axis scale to computed
  • remove data scaling
  • add legend and align with CAGR column
  • insert growth line and display ad CAGR
  • display percentages with values in each bar and set to show on separate line
  • reduce line spacing between label lines
